Students learn of world economic summit
cloister3web
Students in Lee Christensen's government and economics class at Glennville Christian Academy visited the site of the 2004 G8 Summit on Feb. 26. The juniors and seniors heard an introduction to the purpose and make-up of the G8 Summit in class. In addition to hearing first-hand about the events that transpired during the summit of leading economic powers; Japan, Russia, France, Great Britain, United States, Canada, Italy and the European Union, students and sponsors toured the newly rebuilt Cloister Hotel. A business meeting prevented the group from entering the G8 Room housing a hand-crafted table built for the summit participants and where officials photos are on exhibit.
