Students in Claire McLean’s fourth-grade gifted class at Taylors Creek Elementary School have been studying one of the greatest river civilizations of ancient history, ancient Egypt. After studying social roles, the students created menat necklaces to show their place in society. For the finishing touch, the students added a khat headdress and practiced walking like Egyptians.
