Taylors Creek Elementary recently was selected to participate in the Bus Trip Across Georgia on Oct. 25-27.
“I received a call from Steve Dolinger, from The Georgia Partnership For Excellence in Education, who shared the news,” Principal Debbie Rodriguez said. “The Georgia Partnership For Excellence in Education selects model schools for business, education, government and civic leaders to tour. The leaders visit a number of model schools in Georgia to observe educators in action as they provide learning opportunities for students.”
The theme of this year’s tour is “Georgia Public Schools: Changing Culture, Building Community and Reaching Excellence.”
“We are very excited to showcase the wonderful teaching and learning taking place here,” Rodriguez said.
“I would like to give a big ‘thank you’ to Sandy Jones for nominating our school and Dr. Jennifer Walts for writing the grant. It is so exciting to be a part of a winning team.
“The Georgia Partnership recognized Taylors Creek several years ago for ‘Beating The Odds’ as well, where we received recognition in Savannah,” Rodriguez continued. “Thank you for your dedication and hard work to ensure that children are the champions. Let’s get ready for the greatest and best showcase that leaders in Georgia have ever seen.”
