Two graduate at Country Day

Hinesville residents Zanita Tonisha Simmons and Elizabeth Wesley Pirkle graduated from The Savannah Country Day School on June 1.
The baccalaureate was May 31.
Pirkle is the daughter of Bob and Laura Pirkle. She was County Day’s student council president, captain and MVP of the cheerleading squad and a homecoming court representative.
She plans to attend Valdosta State University where she earned a spot on their cheerleading squad during April tryouts.
Simmons is the daughter of Dr. Robert and Bernice Simmons. She was active with the school’s Diversity Club and the Fine Arts Dance Team for four years. She received an award for being an honor student in dance.
Simmons has been accepted and will attend Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, N.C, where she will major in international studies with a concentration in language arts for Spanish and Arabic. She has also been offered a spot in a summer science program, for which she will receive college credit.
