Walker Middle School’s Future Business Leaders of America held its first “dress for success” day Sept. 13. All members dressed as business CEOs and attended a meeting in the computer lab.

The officers for this year are: President Ron Dumas, Vice President Mackenzie Pattison, Secretary McKenzie Levesque, Treasurer Lizzy Sanders, Historian Taylor Burnside and Reporter/Photographer Marissa Pitts.

Members are selling Rice Krispy treats for 50 cents apiece to raise money to attend the fall motivational rally in Perry. Members also are participating in several school-service projects. They are donating school supplies to needy families in the area and washing the lunchroom tables after lunch.

The next event for Walker Middle FBLA is the Junior Miss and Miss Walker Middle School pageant. The pageant is open to students in fourth through eighth grades. For more information, email Amanda Sikes at asikes@long.k12.ga.us or Julia Smiley at jsmiley@long.k12.ga.us.
