Students and staff at Walker Middle School are “going green” while earning free technology equipment by participating in the FundingFactory Recycling Program. WMS is collecting empty laser and inkjet cartridges and used cell phones from the community, which they’ll send to FundingFactory in exchange for technology and recreation products or even cash.
Companies can participate for free in the FundingFactory Business Support Program. FundingFactory will send each supporting business free prepaid shipping labels for the return of collected cartridges and cell phones.
Community and business supporters also can drop off cartridges and cell phones at Walker Middle School Office, Ludowici Bank, Altamaha Federal Credit Union (Ludowici branch) and The Heritage Bank (Hinesville branch).
For more information, call Helen Young at 545-2069, email hyoung@long.k12.ga.us or go to www.FundingFactory.com.
