An early morning fire on the 600 block of Honey Ridge Lane has displaced two adults and two children.
According to Hinesville Fire Department Public Information Officer Capt. Alex Mason, the HFD was notified at 5:25 a.m. Wednesday of a structure fire. Mason said when units arrived they encountered heavy smoke coming from the residence and active flames in the living room. Firefighters brought the fire under control within 15 minutes. Three dogs were trapped in the home and had to be rescued. Firefighters revived two of the dogs while a third succumbed to smoke inhalation.
The fire is not suspicious and is currently being investigated.
