A fatal accident happened Feb. 1, around mile-marker 71 in the northbound lanes of Interstate 95.

According to Georgia State Trooper Vieux Endoi, one of the tractor-trailers was parked on the shoulder when the second one approached, drove off the roadway and struck the first truck from the rear. 

The Trooper said the impact caused the parked truck to be moved a couple of feet. 

One person was killed and the second person was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
