FEMA to close Liberty County disaster recovery center

The Disaster Recovery Center located in Liberty County is closing Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 5:30 p.m. However, people can still visit any other open Disaster Recovery Center located in the state. Survivors can also apply for FEMA assistance online at DisasterAssistance.gov, on the free FEMA App or by calling 1-800-621-3362 any day of the week.

Several centers around the state remain open and others are scheduled to open. The nearest DRC for Liberty County will be in Chatham County at the Savannah Technical College Student Enrichment Center, Building, 5717 White Bluff Road in Savannah. It is open Mondays-Saturdays from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. and Sundays from 1-6 p.m.
