A fire damaged a home on Deerwood Court around 9 p.m. Jan. 15, and displaced a family of three.
According to LT. Tracy Burriss of the Hinesville Fire Department, the single family home located in the 100 block of Deerwood Court received moderate damage when a fire, which started in the living room area, spread to the attic.
Flames could be seen shooting through the roof. Firefighters managed to put out the fire within minutes of their arrival.
Burriss said the family of two adults and one child managed to escape the fire safely.
Burriss said the fire is under investigation. The Red Cross was notified to assist the family.
