Hinesville City Council members recognized five members of the Hinesville Fire Department who won the Central Georgia Firefighters Combat Challenge.

 The HFD team of Engineer Jaquan Johnson, Engineer Jacob Grubb, Engineer Allen Crystal, Engineer Mohammad Bryant, and Firefighter Mauro Figueroa finished with a time of 1:38, defeating eight teams from other departments. 

The competition was held at the Warner Robins Fire Training Facility. 

It was the HFD’s team second win in three years.
