Dozens turned out Monday night to help the City of Flemington usher in the Christmas season at the city’s annual tree lighting at city hall.

Attendees enjoyed live music, pictures with Santa and a hot cocoa bar.

More holiday festivities are on tap this week. The City of Hinesville will hold Hinesville for the Holidays today from 5-8 p.m. at Bradwell Park, with the tree lighting taking place at 7 p.m. There will be bounce houses, train rides, photos with Santa and popcorn and cocoa.

Also, the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce’s annual illuminated Christmas parade will take place Friday, beginning at 6:30 p.m. This year’s theme is “A Groovy Christmas: Celebrating the 1960s.”
