Fort Stewart Soldier detained after chaotic behavior at public mall
3rd ID Patch

A Fort Stewart soldier has been detained after a social media video post went viral showing him yelling expletives at people who were waiting on a parking space at a mall in Savannah. The soldier can be seen shoving the woman that was with him, grabbing her firmly by the wrist and shoving her arm behind her back. The video also shows that the incident took place in front of a young child who was already strapped in the car seat in the back seat of the vehicle.

The soldier allegedly threatened the people around him and said F- this country.

Fort Stewart Public Affairs Officer Kevin Larson said, “The 3rd Infantry Division leadership is aware of the incident involving one of our Soldiers captured on video (Sunday). The Soldier has been positively identified and has been detained. We are working with the appropriate civilian and military authorities to address this situation. This Soldier's behavior and actions are not condoned by the 3rd Infantry Division and are not in keeping with the values instilled in our Dogface Soldiers or our Army."
