FPCA update 031620

While there were still no known cases of COVID-19 in Liberty County, First Presbyterian Christian Academy on Monday announced it will plan for distance learning for the next week weeks.

Here’s a timeline:

The school will be open Tuesday, March 17 for students to get information from teachers and lockers. The schedule is 8 a.m. until noon for middle and high school students, and noon to 4 p.m. for Pre-K and elementary students.

All Georgia Independent School Association competitions have been cancelled. All spring sport practices have been canceled, and a spelling bee at Pinewood Christian Academy was cancelled.

In its release, FPCA said “this situation is constantly changing and we will adjust as needed to keep students and staff safe. Please understand that the closure of the school could extend 1, 2 or 3 weeks, as information unfolds. Please monitor our website, social media and emails.”
