GBI agents are investigating criminal allegations of misappropriation of county funds by the Long County Commissioners Office. The Long County Sheriff’s Office asked the GBI to investigate on August 30.

On Tuesday, GBI special agents, digital forensic investigators, and forensic auditors executed a search warrant at the Long County Commissioners Office in relation to the investigation. Agents seized several items for further analysis.
