Just days after announcing formal graduation ceremonies for the seniors of Liberty County High School and Bradwell Institute would be held in July, the Liberty County School System issued a press release saying the event is cancelled.

"We received news this afternoon (June 24) that the Savannah Civic Center, would be canceling all events due to COVID-19," the release stated.

The LCSS had worked with stakeholders in planning and organizing the planned formal graduation ceremony which was set for July 18, 2020. 

The release did not mention whether the event would be rescheduled for a later date.
