Around 8:30 p.m., Georgia State Patrol was notified of a pedestrian who was struck by a pickup truck while attempting to cross Highway 84 near Liberty High School.

The man driving the pickup truck was traveling in the eastbound lane when the accident occurred. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. GSP is currently investigating and traffic has been diverted to the westbound lane.
