The Hinesville Fire Department will award several scholarships through its Earnest “Moe” McDuffie 5th Annual Essay Scholarship. This year’s topic is African American Contributions in Fire Service.
The scholarship is open to Bradwell Institute, Liberty County High School and First Preparatory Christian Academy seniors with the deadline being Friday, February 27. Submissions can be made in person during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, at the Hinesville Fire Department Administration Building, located at 304 S. Commerce Street, or via e-mail to mcuevas@cityofhinesville.org.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 1,000 words
• APA Formatting
• Double-spaced
• Proper Citations
• Letter of recommendation
• Academic and/or leadership achievements, community service
• GPA average Submissions must indicate the name of the student’s high school, the student’s name, phone number, and a valid e-mail address.
