On December 17, 2018, the City of Hinesville welcomed a new Public Relations Manager, Whitney Morris.

Morris comes to the City from Auburn, Alabama, where she served as the Aquatics and Special Events Coordinator (2016 – 2018) and Public Relations Assistant (2014 – 2016) for the City of Auburn. In these positions, she undertook a variety of projects, some of which were new initiatives and events, including but not limited to Active Auburn (a special event driven health and wellness campaign), Downtown Trick-or-Treat and Fright Nights at the Donald E. Davis Arboretum.

“After an extensive search for a Public Relations Manager, Whitney was the obvious choice for this position,” said Hinesville City Manager Kenneth Howard. “Her past experience working with local government should serve her well and we are expecting great things.”

Morris has a B.A. in History and Political Science from King University in Bristol, TN and is currently working to complete a B.S. in Information Technology – Cybersecurity from the same academic institution. 

She has previously served with the Social Security Administration as a Service Representative in Wytheville, VA.
