A Hinesville man was stabbed in the chest during an altercation shortly before noon at the Westridge Mobile Home Park on Deveraux Road.

According to Hinesville Police Detective Tracy Howard, the man was involved in an argument with a woman when she pulled out a knife and stabbed him once in the chest.

The woman has not been located Howard said. Neither her name nor the name of the victim was released.

The man was transported by a privately owned vehicle to Liberty Regional Medical Center in Hinesville and is being treated for his wound.

Howard said the incident stemmed from a long running argument between the two.
