EMC Engineering Services, Inc. (EMC) was presented with House Resolution 1320 on September 18 to commemorate its 45th anniversary in the region by the Georgia House of Representatives. The company celebrated this honor with a formal presentation at its corporate office in Savannah to round out 45th-anniversary festivities.
“Since the beginning, EMC has aimed to provide excellent customer service, mentor professionals, and assist our clients achieve their construction goals,” said EMC CEO and Chairman of the Board Charles E. Perry Jr., PE LEED AP. “We are honored to be recognized by the state of Georgia for our community contributions thus far and look forward to all the future partnerships to come in the next 45 years.”
Incorporated in November 1978, EMC has grown from a small team of three in Savannah to a team of over 125 professionals spanning across 10 branches in in the Southeast.
“It is unbelievable how this community has changed since 1978 and even more so just in the last 20 years, so I appreciate what (EMC) does,” said state Representative Jesse Petrea. “Georgia is the No. 1 state in the country to do business with … and we want local firms doing these projects. We are growing exponentially like never before … and I appreciate that (EMC) is doing that good work.”
“When I left in 2004, we had a two-year period trying to find the next CEO (before) turning it over to Chuck Perry. Most second-tier leaders and officers don’t succeed, but the leadership speaks for itself. I made the right choice and I’m happy for EMC,” said founder and former CEO Larry Stuber.
