HPD investigates shooting

Report crimes in the city to the Hinesville Police Department.

According to Hinesville Police Department Lt. Mike Goesseck, the HPD is investigating a shooting that happened around 4 p.m. at Eagle Creek Mobile Home Park.

The victim sustained an injury to his leg and was transported to Savannah for treatment.

At this time a person of interest  has been detained for questioning related to the shooting. The Courier will follow up with more updates as they become available.
