The victim in an apparent Sunday night shooting incident in Hinesville has died, Hinesville police confirmed.

The HPD is investigating a shooting that took place on the 1300 block of Independence Place just off 15th Street. The shooting happened shortly after 8 p.m. According to reports, the victim, whose name has not yet been released, was shot multiple times.
