The Liberty Humane Shelter is participating in the America’s Favorite Animal Shelter Contest, sponsored by www.care2.com, for a chance to win $10,000.
To vote for the shelter, go to www.care2.com/animalsheltercontest, enter your Hinesville zip code and click “find your shelter.” When the results appear, scroll down to the “L” section and click Liberty Humane Shelter. Follow the instructions to vote. Participants can vote once a day.
The Liberty Humane Shelter also needs men for its Dec. 12 Womanless Pageant at Brewton-Parker’s Auditorium. The fee is $50 and proceeds help the shelter. Admission is $7 at the door, $5 in advance. Sponsors are also needed.
Additionally, the shelter needs volunteers for Christmas in the Park on Nov. 30 and the Christmas parade on Dec. 4. Six park volunteers are needed from 5-8 p.m., and the parade volunteers will walk pets.
