According to a Tweet from Georgia Governor Brian Kemp: Individuals East of I-95 in Bryan, Camden, Chatham, Glynn, Liberty and McIntosh Counties must evacuate due to Hurricane Dorian.
Liberty Regional Medical Center will remain open on Wednesday, Sept. 4, with the exception of some non-essential departments. Please seek care at the ER for emergencies 24 hours a day. The following practices and primary care campuses will be closed on Wednesday: Liberty Family Medicine, the offices of Dr. Calin Badea, Rebecca Shaver, PA & Martha Kitchings, FNP; Liberty OB/GYN, the office of Dr. Seth Borquaye; Liberty Surgical Associates, the offices of Dr. Christina McCain and Dr. Rebecca Coefield-Floyd; Midway and Long County Primary Care Campuses. Organizational Orientation for new employees this week has been cancelled and is rescheduled for Monday, Sept. 9.
The Liberty County School System will remain closed to both staff and students through Friday,
September 6, 2019. This cancellation includes all athletic and afterschool activities. Staff and students should plan to report back to work and school on Monday, September 9, 2019 unless notified otherwise. The latest information will be communicated through the district automated phone/email alert system, district website, and LCSS Facebook and Twitter pages..
Fort Stewart DoDEA Schools will be closed through Friday due to projected impacts of Hurricane Dorian.
The Savannah Office of the United States Attorney will be closed Wednesday, Sept. 4. Further advisories will be issued as conditions necessitate. The Augusta Office of the U.S. Attorney will remain in operation during this period.
Health departments in Bryan, Camden, Chatham, Effingham, Glynn, Liberty, Long, and McIntosh counties will be closed on Wednesday, Sept. 4 and will announce any extended health department closures.
Long County government offices will be closed Sept. 4 and 5. In addition, county residents are under a voluntary evacuation, according to a press release from Commission Chairman Robert Parker, posted to Facebook Monday morning.
All Live Oak Public Libraries branches in Chatham, Effingham, and Liberty Counties will be closed Tuesday, Sept. 3 and Wednesday, Sept. 4, due to potential severe weather conditions associated with Hurricane Dorian. Regarding Live Oak Public Libraries operations later in the week, library administrative staff will be reviewing conditions and forecasts as well as emergency management directions and travel advisories issued by each county. Library patrons will not be charged for overdue fines accrued during the closure. Library book drops will be closed when libraries are closed. Library staff request that patrons do not use book drops as items may be damaged in bad weather. Online resources, including e-books, audiobooks and videos, are available 24/7 at www.liveoakpl.org.
Due to evacuation orders issued by Georgia Governor Brian Kemp for Monday, Sept. 2, the Hurricane Registry application process in Liberty and Long counties have been suspended. No new Hurricane Registry applications can be processed at this time.
Savannah Technical College campuses are closed and will reopen Thursday, Sept. 5 for normal operations barring any unforeseen power or travel issues.
EGSC has canceled classes at its Statesboro campus today.

City of Hinesville
As of 2 p.m. on Monday, September 2 a mandatory evacuation is still in effect for Liberty County residents east of I-95. A voluntary evacuation has now been issued for the remainder of Liberty County, with an emphasis on low lying and flood prone areas, especially those east of US Hwy 17. This voluntary evacuation does include the City of Hinesville.
City facility and operational hours will be as follows:
Wednesday, September 4: City facilities will be closed and public safety operations will be dedicated to respond to Hurricane Dorian.
Thursday, September 5: City facilities will be closed and public safety operations will be dedicated to respond to Hurricane Dorian.
Friday, September 6: Normal operating hours will resume unless otherwise posted.
PLEASE NOTE: The Thursday, September 5 City Council meeting has been cancelled.

YMCA of Coastal Georgia Weather Related Closures

The following closures and cancellations effecting YMCA of Coastal Georgia operations on Monday, September 2, 2019
Bryan County: Richmond Hill YMCA is closed.
Liberty County: The Liberty County YMCA is closed.
McIntosh County: The McIntosh YMCA is closed.
The YMCA of Coastal Georgia will continue to monitor and provide facility and program updates.
All court in the Atlantic Judicial Circuit has been canceled through Friday, September 6th, 2019. We will post on our office website: www.libertyco.com the rescheduled court dates.
SNF Holding Company: Based on weather forecasts, the projected path of Hurricane Dorian, and the safety of our employees, it has been decided to close our Riceboro and Midway locations in Georgia. All other SNF manufacturing sites, warehouses, hubs, and terminal operations will continue to operate without closure. We are actively monitoring the development of the storm, as well as its potential impact on our facilities, and will provide updates as appropriate.
For those doing business with SNF, we apologize for any delays or inconveniences this shutdown of our operations may cause. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this time and hope to resume normal operations as soon as possible.
