The City of Walthourville held a relief drive for families affected by Hurricane Helene. 

The local chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. organized the help, and the Fort Stewart Youth Challenge, Walthourville Mayor Sarah Hayes, Council member Patrick Underwood, Council member Mitchell Boston, Hinesville City Council member Dexter Newby and Dr. Karen Bell from Keep Liberty Beautiful also participated.
