JM Allen Homes celebrated its “Best of Liberty” recognition received from Coastal Courier readers during an open house at its Way Station community in Ludowici last Thursday. Courier readers judge the yearly competition. Readers nominated individuals, businesses and organizations by visiting the Courier’s website this past summer. The local home builder was voted Best Home Builder/Construction Company for 2019. JM Allen Homes also earned a 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty Builder Achievement Award this year, one of only two builders in the Southeast to earn this award, according to Mike Allen, president of JM Allen Homes.

Not content to rest on their laurels, JM Allen Homes continues to move forward with numerous developments, including Palmer Place, a gated community located off Palmer Road in Long County. The energy efficient homes being constructed boast upgraded finishes and will range in price from $225,000 to $400,000.

“I’m very excited,” Allen said of Palmer Place, which, he said, is generating a lot of inquiries from potential buyers. “I want to be different than other builders and offer homeowners more choices. I’m a semi-custom builder. Naturally, I focus on quality and value.”

Allen added that he visits his company’s building sites each day, to check on the progress of projects and ensure that the company’s high quality standards are maintained. JM Allen Homes can build on a homeowner’s site or will assist a buyer in finding property on which to build. The company serves customers in Liberty, Long, Bryan, Wayne, McIntosh and Glynn counties. Along with Palmer Place, the home builder still has available inventory in Way Station, Vicker’s Hill, Sandy Oaks, Harmonee, and Freedom Estates, also all in Long County.

“Phase 1 of Palmer Place will consist of 192 lots in a gated community loaded with amenities,” explained Carmen Griffis, who handles marketing for the home builder. “We currently have seven homes started already. We have inventory floor plans available, we can modify existing floor plans, or we can build full custom homes within this community.”

Allen said amenities in the premier gated community will include a sports field, playgrounds and a dog park.
