Country singer John Michael Montgomery will be the Saturday night entertainment headliner for the 23rd annual Great Ogeechee Seafood Festival, (GOSF) Oct. 14-16 at J.F. Gregory Park in Richmond Hill.

Strawberry Wine songstress Deana Carter will open for Montgomery. Up-and-coming artists Warren Zeiders and Maggie Baugh, both on the cusp of country music stardom, will also deliver high energy sets to kick off the evening.

Sponsored by the Richmond Hill-Bryan County Chamber of Commerce, the GOSF is considered one of the largest seafood festivals in the Southeast, featuring live music, amusement rides, arts & crafts, and, of course, seafood. Organizers say the festival hosts more than 25,000 people over a three-day weekend.

Festival hours are:

Friday, Oct. 14 from 5 - 11 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 15 from 11 a.m.-11 p.m.

Sunday, Oct. 16 from 11 a.m.– 5 p.m.

Advance tickets are on sale and can be purchased at this link.

Saturday ticket prices vary for different age groups. Admission is free for children five and under until 5:00 p.m.; tickets for attendees ages six through 15 cost $18 and are $20 for ages 16 and older. Tickets purchased at the gate after 5:p.m. are $35 for all ages.

According to Wikipedia, of Montgomery's 36 singles, seven have reached number one on the Billboard country singles charts: "I Love the Way You Love Me" (1993), "I Swear" (1994), "Be My Baby Tonight" (1994), "If You've Got Love" (1994), "I Can Love You Like That" (1995), "Sold (The Grundy County Auction Incident) (1995), and "The Little Girl" (2000).
