The Liberty County Development Authority (LCDA) is hosting a Liberty County Job Fair in partnership with DS Smith/International Paper Riceboro, City of Riceboro, Liberty County, Liberty County Recreation Department, Liberty County Chamber, RISE (Regional Industry Support Enterprise), Savannah Technical College, WorkSource Coastal, and WorkSource Georgia.

The event, which will be held Wednesday from 4-7:30 p.m. at the Riceboro Youth Center, is designed to support employees impacted by the impending DS Smith/International Paper closure, but all job seekers are welcome.  

Expected recruiters include:

Amentum; C.W. Matthews Contracting Company; City of Hinesville; Colonial Group; EnviroVac Holdings; Georgia Department of Corrections; Georgia Ports Authority; Georgia Power; HMGMA; IBEW Local Union 508; Inframark; International Union of Operating Engineers Local 474; Ironworkers Local Union 709; Liberty County; Liberty County School System; Liberty County Sheriff’s Office; Rich Products; Scott Wells Plumbing Company; SNF Holding Company; TRIDENT Refit Facility; U.S. Sugar Savannah Refinery; and Western Power Sports.

Organizations on hand to provide potential resources will be:

Georgia Southern University/Business Innovation Group; Goodwill Industries; Savannah Technical College; Worksource Coastal; and WorkSource Georgia/Technical College System of Georgia.
