LCSO nabs suspects in Allenhurst drug raid

According to Liberty County Sheriff Steve Sikes, members of the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office’s Narcotics Unit and The Sheriff’s Office’s Special Response Unit (SRT), with the assistance of the ATF, executed a narcotics search warrant Tuesday at Lakeview Mobile Home Park located on the 500 block of Dunlevie Road in Allenhurst, after an ongoing investigation.

Sikes said the raid netted powder cocaine, crack cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana and multiple firearms.  

Ted Boyd, 24, of Walthourville, was arrested during the execution of the raid. Boyd was charged with sales of cocaine, sale of methamphetamine and sales of marijuana, possession of crack cocaine, powder cocaine, methamphetamine and marijuana, all with the intent to distribute. Boyd was also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of firearm during the commission of a felony and possession of tools for the commission of a crime, as well as conspiracy to commit a felony.

Sylester Bacon, 56, of Hinesville was arrested and charged with possession of crack cocaine, powder cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana all with intent to distribute, as well as possession of firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of tools for the commission of a crime and conspiracy to commit a felony.

Three other suspects also were arrested on drug charges. Walthourville resident John Izzard, 46, and Shellanda Johnson, 44, of Hinesville were both arrested on possession of cocaine charges. Mariah Forbes of Fort Stewart was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana less than one ounce.
