LCSS observing Attendance Awareness Month
LCSS logo

The Liberty County School System is observing Attendance Awareness for the month of September. Across the country, more than 8 million students are missing so many days of school that they are academically at risk. Chronic absence — missing 10 percent or more of school days due to absence for any reason—excused, unexcused absences and suspensions, can translate into third-graders unable to master reading, sixth-graders failing subjects and ninth-graders dropping out of high school. We are asking our internal and external stakeholders to please assist us in getting the word out to our community about the importance of being at school regularly. Please help us, if you can, by posting this message on your external sign or social media outlets to get the word out about the importance of good attendance in school. Thank you in advance for your support of the Liberty County School System!
