The National Chapter Award program recognizes outstanding FFA chapters from throughout the country that actively implement the mission and strategies of the organization. These chapters improve chapter operations using the National Quality FFA Chapter Standards and a Program of Activities that emphasizes growing leaders, building communities, and strengthening agriculture.

Chapters are rewarded for providing educational experiences for the entire membership. Each year, FFA chapters from around the nation submit awards applications on the state level. The top 10 percent from each state earns a Gold National Chapter Award. Chapters that earn the gold level award are then eligible to compete for a National FFA 3-star, 2-star, or 1-star rating.

The Liberty County High School FFA Chapter was elated to learn that they were named a 3-star chapter for the 2024 National Chapter Award. Chapters that received star ratings during judging this summer will be recognized at the 97th National FFA Convention and Expo, October 23-26 in Indianapolis.

The Liberty County High School FFA chapter officers worked diligently to ensure their chapter excelled in the areas of student, chapter, and community development. The FFA chapter received support for their program from their school administrators, the local Board of Education, and Liberty County CTAE Director Sonja Duncan.

The National FFA Organization is a school-based national youth leadership development organization of more than 1,027,000 student members as part of 9,235 local FFA chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
