Advance voting for the March 1 presidential primaries in Georgia runs Feb. 8-26, with Saturday voting on Feb. 20.

During advance voting, Liberty County residents may cast their ballots from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Voter Registration and Elections Office in the Liberty County Historic Courthouse, 100 N. Main St., Suite 1600, in Hinesville, or the Liberty County Community Complex, 9397 E. Oglethorpe Highway in Midway.

Long County residents may cast their ballots from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Long County Courthouse.

Saturday voting takes place on Feb. 20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at both Liberty County locations and the Long County Courthouse.

Voting on Election Day, March 1, takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and all precincts throughout the Liberty County will be open, Elections Supervisor Ella Golden said.

The same is true in Long County, but Elections Supervisor Kierra Hamilton said three precincts — 3, 4 and 7 — have been consolidated into one location, Ludowici City Hall. This is the first presidential election that has taken place since this change was made, Hamilton said.

At the polling place, voters will have to let the poll worker know which party’s ballot they want to use, Democratic or Republican, Golden said.
People can check their voter registration status, or register, online at www.mvp.sos.ga.gov or on the GA Votes smartphone app.

Anyone wishing to cast a vote must be a registered voter in the county in which they seek to vote and must present some form of photo identification.

Valid forms of photo ID are a Georgia driver’s license; valid employee photo ID from any branch, department, agency, or entity of the U.S. government, state of Georgia, or any county, municipality, board, authority or other entity in this state; or a valid U.S. passport, U.S. military photo ID or tribal photo ID.

Liberty County residents with questions may call the Voter Registration and Elections Office at 912-876-3310.

Long County residents may call the Board of Elections and Registration at 912-545-2234 or email longcountyelections@gmail.com.
