Early voting at the Liberty County Board of Elections office for the Nov. 8 elections will end at 5 p.m. Friday, according to Elections Supervisor Ella Golden.

Voters interested in voting early can continue to do so from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. through Friday, Golden said.

On Election Day, she said, polls will be open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Polling stations run by the county are at the Crossroads School in Riceboro, the Shuman Center in Hinesville and the police station (also called the old city hall) in Walthourville. The city of Gum Branch will run its own polling station.

Golden added that new voter registration cards continue to be mailed to those voters affected by Hinesville’s recent redistricting. She said the new registration cards only are being mailed to those voters affected by the new districting plan.

“We will continue to send (new voter registration cards) out as they come in to us (from the Georgia secretary of state),” she said.

Voters who still are unsure about where to vote Tuesday should call the Liberty County Board of Elections at 876-3310 or the Gum Branch City Hall at 876-5945.
