The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce will host a Progress Through People Luncheon at noon Thursday at Connection Church, 116 Patriot Trail in Flemington. The event is sponsored by CH2M Hill.

The luncheon will feature Mayor Allen Brown’s State of Hinesville address. The address will focus on the city’s current and future fiscal outlook, opportunities for growth and Brown’s vision to make the city a regional commerce center. The luncheon will take place during Georgia Cities Week, which is April 17-23. The week celebrates community achievements and encourages cities to educate residents about the services they offer.

"I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to reintroduce myself to the people of Hinesville," Brown said. "But even more so, I can’t wait to share my passion about the immediate and future growth that is in store for our great city."

The cost to attend is $15 for Chamber members and $20 for others. RSVP by Tuesday, by calling 912-368-4445 or emailing operations@libertycounty.org.
