Long Countys population jumps

The Census Bureau is delivering state-by-state data on a rolling basis through March.
According to the bureau website’s summaries of 2010 Census population totals, Long County’s population increased from 10,304 in 2000 to 14,464 in 2010, adding 4,160 new residents, or a 40.3 percent increase, according to the site’s data. Ludowici’s numbers have not yet been posted.
Census data show Georgia’s population increasing from 8,186,453 in 2000 to 9,687,653 in 2010 for an increase of 18.3 percent.
