Shared services supposed to cut costs, improve care

Novant Health and Memorial Health on Friday announced a shared-services partnership with Liberty Regional Medical Center in Hinesville, which is designed to reduce expenses, improve patient care and extend offerings in Liberty County.
“Novant Health is pleased to expand its partnerships in Georgia,” Novant Health President and CEO Carl Armato. “In the challenging and ever-changing health-care industry, it is important for all health organizations to look for ways to improve patient care and lower costs. We are proud to partner with others to achieve that goal.”
Liberty Regional Medical Center on E.G. Miles Parkway is a full-service, critical-access hospital with 25 acute beds and 108 skilled-nursing beds. The medical center includes Liberty Regional; Coastal Manor, a 108-bed skilled-nursing facility in Ludowici; and Liberty Regional EMS, an ambulance service for Liberty and Long counties. LRMC is about 45 miles southwest of Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah.
Novant Health Shared Services aims to help health-care organizations and the communities they serve through a wide range of partnership possibilities that preserve local-market ownership and autonomy.
