Highway 57, McDonald Street, in Ludowici will be closed temporarily Thursday evening for the Long County High School homecoming parade.

The Georgia Department of Transportation announced the highway will be closed starting at 6 p.m. from near Railroad Street to Smiley Elementary School south of town. There is no set time for the parade to be over, but generally they don't last more than a half hour to 45 minutes.

There are also no good detours if you need to travel south on 57, but Ludowici Police officers will be out to control traffic and give traveling advice.
