Prayer vigil tonight for family members, victims of Gause Street fire
PRAYER VIGIL

There will be a prayer vigil tonight for a family who lost three members in an April 5 house fire on Gause Street.

The vigil is set for 7:30 p.m.

The victims, Rosa Pearl Strickland, 82, Carl Edward Strickland, 68, and Annie Lorene Grigsby, 62, lived in the house for decades.

Their funeral is noon Wednesday, April 18 at Bethel AME on Gause Street.

Liberty County Commissioner Gary Gilliard announced the vigil Thursday morning.

“This family lived around the corner from where I grew up and I’ve known them all my life,” Gilliard said in an email. “These are trying times for the remaining family members and we will try and help raise funds to offset funeral expenses.”

For more information call Gilliard at 912-977-3527.
