SNF honored for manufacturing advancements

Liberty County’s largest industrial manufacturer, SNF Inc., was honored Friday night for advancements in manufacturing at the Savannah Technical College Foundation’s 10th annual Opportunity Award Gala at the college’s main campus on White Bluff Road in Savannah.

SNF, located in Riceboro, and several other manufacturers were recognized for their contributions to the area’s economy, including JCB and Gulfstream.

WTOC’s Sonny Dixon served as the master of ceremonies and presented the award to SNF President Peter Nichols.

In addition to the manufacturing awards portion of the evening, the Technical College System of Georgia named Savannah Technical College its 2013 College of the Year. Savannah Tech’s Liberty County campus is led by Dean of Student Affairs Terrie O. Sellers.
