Tornado watch issued for area
Placeholder Image

Much of Southeast Georgia, including Liberty and Long counties, has been under a tornado watch.

The National Weather Service issued the watch shortly after noon, upgrading its forecast that was for possible storms. The watch will run until 9 p.m.

The watch means conditions are right to develop a tornado. It does not mean any have been spotted.
