Walthourville councilwoman elected to GMA board

SAVANNAH — Walthourville City Councilwoman Luciria Lovette was elected to the Board of Directors for the Georgia Municipal Association during the its annual meeting on June 25.

Lovette will serve as first vice president of GMA’s 12th District.

The district includes cities in nine area counties.

“We are pleased to have Councilmember Lovette taking on this leadership position,” GMA Executive Director Lamar Norton said. “She’s well respected by her colleagues, and I’m sure she’ll provide great leadership to the cities in her district.”

Based in Atlanta, GMA is a voluntary, non-profit organization that provides legislative advocacy, educational, employee benefit and technical assistance services to its 515 member cities.
