Two people were killed Friday night in Liberty County in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 17 between Midway and Limerick Road.

According to Georgia State Patrol Trooper Markus White, the vehicles collided around 7:30 p.m. when one crossed the center lane and the two hit head-on. A male and female were pronounced dead at the scene. Two others in the vehicles were taken by ambulance to Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah.
