National FFA Week is an annual celebration that honors the role of agricultural education and the FFA in preparing the next generation of leaders. The week highlights how FFA members develop leadership skills, explore career opportunities, and serve their communities through agriculture-focused learning and service.
Growing leaders At Long County Middle School, leadership development is at the heart of the FFA program. Each year, the chapter proudly gives the gift of blue to active FFA members who demonstrate extra initiative, dedication, and involvement. This special recognition encourages students to step up, stay engaged, and grow as young leaders within their school and community.
Building communities
Service is a cornerstone of FFA. This year, the chapter is giving back by collecting donations for Cake-in-a-Box kits. These kits will be distributed to individuals in need, local churches, and first responders to help brighten their day. Teachers, FFA members, and parents donated cake mixes and icings for the project.
In addition, the FFA chapter continues its tradition of showing appreciation to Long County Middle School teachers by providing a special breakfast. This annual gesture recognizes the hard work and commitment of the school’s educators.
Strengthening agriculture Students are also strengthening their agricultural knowledge through fun and engaging activities. Agricultural trivia challenges are being used to reinforce key concepts and spark student interest in the importance of agriculture in everyday life.
Students can further show their FFA spirit by participating in themed dress-up days and schoolwide scavenger hunts, making National FFA Week both educational and exciting.
Long County Middle School is proud of its FFA members and their continued commitment to leadership, service, and agricultural education. National FFA Week provides an excellent opportunity to celebrate the difference these students are making today and the impact they will have on the
