A woman who was involved in a single-car accident last Wednesday in Long County has been identified as Shaedae Lovette, 19.
Georgia State Patrol Trooper W.N. Bouman said the wreck happened on Arnold Drive when Lovette reportedly lost control of her vehicle. The automobile overturned and the Long County woman was ejected. The trooper said Lovette was the only person involved.
The victim was taken by helicopter to Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah and treated for her injuries, Bouman said. On Monday, a hospital spokesman said Lovette had been discharged from Memorial.
Bouman said Lovette was cited for failure to maintain a lane.
Information provided last week to the Courier by law enforcement officials originally reported that Lovette was a passenger in the vehicle when the accident occurred. It was later determined she had been driving.
