Liberty Regional Medical Center presented a sponsorship check to students from Liberty College and Career Academy (LCCA) as they prepare to compete at the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference in Atlanta this summer.
The students recently earned Gold Medals at the SkillsUSA Georgia State Leadership and Skills Conference, securing their place at the national competition. Three students will compete in Occupational Health and Safety, while one student will compete in Culinary Arts, representing both LCCA and the greater Liberty County community on a national stage.
“At Liberty Regional, we believe in investing in the future of our community, and that starts with supporting our students,” said Derek Rozier, chief executive officer of Liberty Regional Medical Center. “These young individuals have already demonstrated incredible dedication, skill, and perseverance. We are honored to support them as they take this next step and represent Liberty County at the national level.”
The sponsorship provided by Liberty Regional Medical Center will assist with expenses associated with attending the national conference, helping ensure these students have the opportunity to showcase their talents among the best in the nation.
Liberty Regional Medical Center’s connection to Liberty College and Career Academy extends beyond sponsorship. Rozier serves on the LCCA Board, and Leah Poole, trustee for the Liberty County Hospital Authority and CEO of the Liberty County Chamber, serves as vice chair of the LCCA Board. Together, this leadership reflects a strong, shared commitment to advancing education, strengthening healthcare, and supporting the continued growth of the community.
