Ludowici family without home due to fire

According to Long/Ludowici Volunteer Fire and Rescue Fire Chief, Chris Moss, one adult and several children were displaced Saturday night when their mobile home was damaged by fire and smoke.  

Moss said fire fighters responded to a reported structure fire on south McDonald street shortly after 8:30 p.m.and found the home in flames. Moss said the home suffered  heavy fire and smoke damage. 

The American Red Cross has been notified to assist the family. The cause of the fire is under investigation. 

Long County Fire, Ludowici Police, Long County Sheriffs Department, Excelsior Ambulance Services were on scene.
