A fire Saturday night has left a Hinesville man and his dog displaced.
The fire began shortly before 8:30 p.m. on the 300 block of Connor Court in Hinesville.
According to incident commander Fire Battalion Chief Jamie Woodard, the home owner said he plugged in a laptop and saw a spark. A few minutes later, flames were visible behind a couch, which spread rapidly and caused damage to the home’s living room, the rear of the residence and the upper floor of the two-story home.
The homeowner got out of the house safely with his dog.
