A 23 year-old Tattnall County man was killed Saturday in a boating accident near a Long County boat ramp at Adamsons Fish Park, according to Long County Sheriff Craig Nobles.

Nobles said the accident occurred at about 6:19 p.m. The sheriff stated the Department of Natural Resources would conduct an investigation. The man was taken by ambulance to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead, according to Nobles.

The Long County Sheriff's Office will not release the victim's name until immediate family is notified.
