Army installations and commands all over the world, including Fort Stewart, will celebrate the Army’s 232nd birthday June 14.
With the theme “Call to Duty — Boots on the Ground — Army Strong,” the celebration honors soldiers answering the call to duty during one of the most dangerous periods in history.
Fort Stewart will host a traditional cake-cutting at Club Stewart with Col. Todd Buchs and other dignitaries along with the youngest soldier and the youngest officer.
The army is older than the country, which dates its existence from the Declaration of Independence in 1776.
